Susan sings, acts, and directs with a focus on the intersection of storytelling and musical performance. She fell in love with the possibilities of story at the Piven Theatre Workshop where she has directed, adapted, and taught for the past 22 years.  She has taken her skills as a writer and director to The Piven Theatre, The Waters Project, 2nd Story, and CUBE.  She is passionate about the development of vocal artists and has worked within the music schools and development programs of DePaul University, The Chicago College of Performing Arts, and The Santa Fe Opera.
